Use of blogs

In today's world the internet is essential to communication. The educators of today may use many different methods of communication. They have email, texting, and blogs. For this subject we will look at blogs. Blogs give the educator several different tools. It can be an ongoing conversation. It is easily accessible. There is a record of participation attached to the blog itself. A person can also go back into the blog and address earlier portions at will. This creates a deeper level of understanding. It can enhance the educational process.

Action Research week 1

Within the last week I was allowed to review the subject of action research. In this study we looked at how the schools of today address their needs in the way of problem solving and data interpretation. Without the subject of action research we would have to rely on traditional educational research which could be timely and the results may not fit the needs of the schools that we are operating. Utilizating action research we are able to match the problem with the possible solution. This is not a guaranteed method of success. This method may yield partial success or be totally irrelevant to the situation at hand.

Through careful monitoring we will be able to address the effectiveness of the issue at hand. We will also be able to test the validity of the attempted solution. If the solution worked in one area and failed to create the solution again it could show us that we needed to administer it in different ways or that the conditions of the situation are part of the variables. These and other issues make action research one of the cornerstones in our educational system. Without action research our attempts are just blind guesses.
